대전 동구가 주민들의 치아 건강을 위해 펼쳐온 촘촘한 보건 행정의 우수성을 전국에 다시 한번 증명해 보였다.
동구는 보건복지부가 주관한 ‘2025년 지역사회 구강보건사업 평가’에서 우수기관으로 최종 선정되어 보건복지부 장관 기관 표창을 수상했다고 4일 밝혔다.
‘지역사회 구강보건사업 평가’는 보건복지부가 구강보건법에 의거해 전국의 지방자치단체를 대상으로 일 년간의 성과를 계량화해 평가하는 제도다. ‘사업 추진 노력, 우수사례, 목표 대비 성과’ 등을 종합적으로 심사해 탁월한 성적을 거둔 지자체를 엄선한다.
동구는 지난해 평가에서 대전시 5개 자치구 중 당당히 1위를 차지하며 전국 우수 지자체로 이름을 올린 데 이어, 올해도 연이어 우수기관 타이틀을 거머쥐며 ‘2년 연속 수상’이라는 값진 금자탑을 쌓았다.
이번 평가에서 동구는 일방적인 홍보에서 벗어나 주민들의 삶의 현장 속으로 직접 찾아가는 ‘생활터 중심의 체험형 구강관리 프로그램’을 적극적으로 펼쳐 높은 점수를 받았다.
